My preemie Amira was born at 25 weeks’ gestation, weighing 1 lb. and 8 oz. She had a very rough beginning early in her NICU journey. From blood transfusions to several blood infections. That didn’t stop her from fighting every day to see the next! Amira caught NEC four times during her NICU journey, each time overcoming it. Tolerating feeds was very different for her, but she too overcame that. Amira spent 144 long days in the NICU. She has grown to be one very strong, beautiful and smart toddler. We have been dedicated to sharing our story along with other preemies to bring awareness to PREMATURITY.
AMIRA PREEMIE STORE now officially known as EVERYTHING PREEMIE is near and dear to my heart, and I am sure it will be to Amira’s as well.
